Dimitra Beach Hotel suites is a 5-star all-inclusive resort in the popular Agios Fokas village of Kos that offers 6 swimming pools and 3 restaurants in a beachfront setting. Enjoying views of the sea, the hotel’s premises include sports facilities, a mini market and a kids’ disco.

The air-conditioned units have wooden furnishings and bright colours and include free WiFi, a satellite TV and a fridge. A relaxing holiday in a beautiful place with lovely people !

The rooms right on the beach front were great, the staff and food was also very good for a buffet all inclusive

The only thing I could think of that I didn’t like was the hotel being a little remote if you like visiting places although we didn’t care, the evening snacks were also poor for some although we also didn’t try only looked.

Blue sky and sea in contrast with very nice and clean white suites.

We stayed at family suite with two bedrooms. It was very clean, spacey, comfortable, separate bathrooms, beautiful view at the sea. We really enjoyed it! The whole hotel is very nice, clean, lot's of greenery (and cats). The stuff was very pleasant.

Actually, we don't have any complaints. They really try hard to do everything run smoothly. The beach was not sand, but black gravel mixed with sand, but that's not something hotel could do better because it is the natural location as it is.

Mixed experience: Beautiful grounds but service and amenities fall short of 5-star expectations

Dimitra Beach Resort has several positives: the arrival experience is smooth, with a welcome drink and efficient check-in, plus a golf cart service for luggage. The resort's grounds are beautifully maintained, with lush green spaces and a peaceful atmosphere. The rooms are spacious, clean, and comfortable, with daily restocked minibars and good air conditioning. The beach area is clean, with available showers, and drinks can be brought to you from the bar. The resort features three pools, each with a bar, offering convenience and variety. The evening entertainment is varied, with some standout performances that enhance the overall experience.

Several areas fall short of expectations for a 5-star rating. The quality of food and drinks is inconsistent, with very repetitive options and subpar offerings at the à la carte restaurant La Cucina. Service at the bars and restaurants can be slow, and some staff appear disinterested, often engaging in conversations with each other while guests wait to be served. The bathrooms in the rooms need renovation, with low water pressure, unpleasant odors, and poor design. There is a daily struggle for sunbeds around the pools due to high demand and limited availability. Overall, the resort lacks the refined service, attentive staff, quality, and amenities expected from a top-tier property.

Good

Bar staff at the pools were so lovely, friendly, helpful!! Most staff in the restaurants were polite, though not as friendly or helpful as last year. Seemed that they were very run of their feet sadly. Food was fabulous, particularly in the buffet. Great variety every mealtime and it was clear the staff took great pride in preparing the food, keeping it topped up etc. Entertainment in the evenings was good fun and varied.

Rooms were sadly not as clean as last year - lots of dust, areas that hadn't been cleaned at all, hairs from previous guests etc Pool sides also not kept as clean as previously, sticky tables, empty cups/ rubbish on floors, slippery floors etc. Previous years there have been more staff able to keep the areas clean and tidy. Paid extra 80 euros to hang on to our room for a few extra hours onto the last day, however room didn't get cleaned at all so came back to get ready in a messy room with no clean towels. This is v picky however we felt let down by these things in comparison to last year when it was all FAB!

We had a great weeks stay, lovely food and drink, the staff were mainly helpful. Lovely views :)

We stayed in a beach apartment, it was lovely and we were glad of the less steps to climb. Personally I think this may not be suitable for wheelchairs or walking problems with all the steps.

Super nice resort with a beautiful beach!

I had a great stay at this hotel! The room was super clean, and the staff were incredibly nice and spoke excellent English. I loved how the staff came around to the beach beds all the time to see if we wanted anything to eat or drink – such great service! The pool was nice and clean, and the beach was absolutely wonderful. Overall, I had a fantastic time and would definitely come back!

The only downside was that the food was the same every day, which got a bit boring.

Beautiful resort with the best views

One of the hotels with the best views we have ever been to. The hotel is very clean. It has lots of different outdoor areas, all beautiful, so it doesn’t feel crowded. The sun loungers are super comfy too. The rooms are practical and beautifully decorated, great shower! The food was great, lots to choose from and it was constantly replenished. The beach is just a few steps down and although I’m not usually a fan is pebble beaches, the calm sea and clear water won me over. Perfect for a swim or to relax on the sun beds provided. The staff were friendly and courteous. I am terrible with names, but I’d like to thank the reception staff, the restaurant manager and waiters, the lovely cleaning lady who took care of our room (823), who always greeted us with a smile and did a fantastic job, and to Alexandra and Ana María from the kids club, who looked after our children and were so loving and patient with them (they say they miss you!). Finally, thank you to the hotel for all those extra details that made a big difference: the complimentary beach bag and flip flops (so handy!), the sweets left on the kids’ bed every evening, the free massage and the Greek farewell treats we were given on our last day. Thanks for an amazing holiday!

There was quite a long walk (ascend!) between the children area and the block where our room was located, which paradoxically seems to be where the family rooms are. The walls in our room were quite thin, we could hear everything that was being said and done next door. My in laws arrived a few days later and their rooms were closer to the pool area and did not have any issues with noise, so I wonder if it is a problem specific to the block where we were. There were not a lot of activities for the adults and the night entertainment was mainly live music. None of the pools were heated, so water a bit cold for this time of the year (late October). The negatives were amply compensated by the positives though, and we would not hesitate to return to this resort.

Exceptional

Fabulous hotel with amazing staff. Recommend the beach front bungalows. Good choice of food and drinks for all inclusive. An invite for a private romantic dinner was a nice touch and excellent service throughout the whole week we stayed. Bar staff were particularly attentive and evening entertainment was varied . Also a mention to the housekeeping, gave us an inflatable to enjoy in the sea and free flip flops.

Really beautiful relaxing place to stay

The staff were really friendly and helpful, my room was lovely with a great view. The cleaning team were lovely and cleaned the room every day (including mopping floors etc and lots of fresh towels). I really liked the location, the local bus was super easy and a very short journey into Kos town or to the Therma springs beach down the road. It was great to stay somewhere that felt like it was in the middle of nowhere (not loads of resorts and touristy shops etc nearby) but was actually only ten minutes from the main town. I booked a three island boat trip via reception that was really enjoyable and good value. I went as a solo traveler and really enjoyed myself, but I would say I didn't see any other solo travelers.

I would have liked a little bit more information about activities, the outdoor spa, the cost of room service etc. Reception could help with all of that but it would have been good to have it written down in the room rather than having to go and ask. But otherwise it was all brilliant honestly.

Beautiful resort, some of the staff could do better!

We had been here before and had an excellent experience so decided to go back a second time. The resort itself is nicely spread out so even though it is big, it doesn't feel that way. There are 3 swimming pools which are properly maintained. The beach is a pebble beach but okay to relax and to swim. The food options at the buffet where phenomenal and so was the food quality. The Greek a la carte restaurant has good food but we were disappointed in the quality of the fillet steak which did not justify the cost of it. The Italian a la carte is NOT Italian. Their tiramisu was the worst I have ever eaten and no Italian would make it with slices of chocolate cake instead of lady fingers. The pizza was ready made, shoved in the oven and served as "Italian pizza!" It was an abomination. The tuna was A-Okay. There is just simply NOTHING ITALIAN about this restaurant except maybe playing Eros Ramazzotti on repeat. The food quality and options at the buffet is a million times better than this restaurant. My suggestion would be to change it to a Curry restaurant so that it is vastly different from the Greek and the buffet, but equally in demand and delicious for your English and German guests.

The staff at breakfast always seem to wake up on the wrong side of the bed. Always in bad mood. They give you indigestion before you even sit down for something to eat. They are polar ends in comparison with the evening crew. They collect cutlery and crockery from around you and bang them together - one even dropped a knife on my dress in her haste to collect everything from a table that wasn't even ours. They're constantly rustling up dishes making such a big noise...it's very unpleasant to have breakfast there.....absolutely no customer service whatsoever. The attitude only changed a couple days before we left AFTER we spoke to the Manager...but by then, it was too late. They had already left a bitter taste in our mouths - we didn't even to go breakfast every day! The evening staff on the other hand....completely chilled and couldn't do enough to make you comfortable. We especially liked our waitress, Surella/Suella. She was a gem and deserved every Euro of the tips we gave her every evening. She was wonderful and friendly and kind and just a normal person with people skills. Use of the Spa (sauna, steam room, etc.) facilities at their sister hotel (Michaelangelo) next door, costs extra - we thought this was quite cheeky. Why not include this as part of the room cost?

Fantastic hotel and great staff

We had a wonderful week at the Dimitri Beach. The hotel is away from everything like we wanted it to be and due to the large area and how it is set up it never felt overcrowded. A special thank you to the fantastic staff in the main restaurant Flavours. They provided an outstanding service to the whole family throughout the whole stay and at every meal. Anastas is a brilliant waiter and host. Also thank you to George who runs the restaurant with great attitude and professionalism.

Bathroom door in the apartment (2 bedroom family suite) isn’t sufficient to give enough privacy.

A wonderful trip in family

We loved the view from the hotel. A special thanks to the restaurant team led by Georges, they were so nice with the kids. Also, we thank the babysitters of the kids club; very dynamic, smart and nice young ladies.

The facility isn't accessible to strollers (many stairs without any ramp), making it very difficult for families with babies.

Amazing views with great facilities

Great hotel with fantastic facilities. Lovely food and nice pools with amazing views. Would definitely come back, had a lovely relaxing holiday. Overall the staff were good - one member stood out (we didn't get her name) but she was the waitress in the Greek restaurant (we went there on Sarurday just gone) and she was by far the friendless and most attentive - so please could you pass on how great she was.

Only bad thing to say is our pillows were too big (but this is more personal preference!) We didn't ask for others, so can't complain!
